Vihanga is a digital agricultural management and traceability platform designed to support farmer enrollment, land and crop management, field activities, visits, training, certification, procurement, service requests, claims, and agricultural traceability.

The platform helps authorized internal teams maintain accurate agricultural records and monitor activities throughout the agricultural value chain.

Depending on how the App is used, we may collect the following information:

 

1 Mobile Number

We may collect mobile numbers for:

• User identification and account management

• Communication related to Vihanga activities

• Verification and authentication

• Contacting farmers or authorized users when necessary for operational purposes

2 Government ID / Aadhaar Information

Where required for farmer identification and program-related verification, we may collect Aadhaar or other government-issued identification details.

This information is used only for legitimate Vihanga program, farmer identification, verification, certification, and operational purposes.

Users should provide identification information only when requested through an authorized Vihanga process.

3 Bank Account and IFSC Information

We may collect bank account details and IFSC information for legitimate operational purposes, including farmer payment, financial processing, claims, or related agricultural program activities.

Financial information is treated as confidential and is not sold or used for advertising.

4 Guardian and Family Information

We may collect guardian or family-related information where required for farmer registration, identification, or agricultural program records.

Location access is used for Vihanga's agricultural functionality and is not used for advertising purposes.

Photos are used for legitimate Vihanga operational purposes.

Location/GPS access may be requested to record or verify agricultural land and field locations and support location-based agricultural activities.

Access to photos or files may be requested to allow authorized users to select and upload relevant photographs or documents.

Notifications

Notification permission may be used to provide relevant operational alerts, reminders, updates, and other Vihanga-related notifications.

The App requests permissions only when they are needed for the relevant functionality.

Information collected through Vihanga may be used for:

Vihanga Versatiles Pvt. Ltd. does not sell or share farmer or user personal information with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.

Information collected through the Vihanga App is intended for authorized internal Vihanga teams and legitimate operational purposes.

Vihanga may use cloud infrastructure, database services, hosting services, security services, or other technical infrastructure necessary to operate the App. Vihanga data may therefore be processed or stored using these technical services, including AWS and MongoDB.

Such infrastructure is used to operate and secure Vihanga services and does not mean that Vihanga sells personal information to third parties.

We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or lawful governmental request.

Vihanga data is stored and processed using cloud and database infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and MongoDB, as configured for the Vihanga platform.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse.

Access to Vihanga information is restricted to authorized personnel based on their operational responsibilities.

Because Vihanga may process sensitive information such as government identification details, financial information, location information, photographs, signatures, and agricultural records, we take reasonable measures to protect this information.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Vihanga services, maintain agricultural and operational records, fulfill legitimate business requirements, support certification and traceability activities, and comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations.

When information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it in accordance with our internal data-retention practices and applicable requirements.

Where information must be retained for legal, regulatory, security, audit, or legitimate operational reasons, it may be retained for the required period.

Users may contact us to request deletion of their personal information or Vihanga account, where applicable.

Important: If Vihanga provides account creation directly to users, the App should also provide an easily discoverable account-deletion option within the App and an external web-based deletion request mechanism, in accordance with Google Play requirements.

Vihanga is intended for agricultural program participants, farmers, field personnel, and authorized users and is not specifically directed toward children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where such collection is prohibited by applicable law.

Vihanga may use technical infrastructure and services necessary to operate the App, including AWS and MongoDB.

We do not permit third parties to use Vihanga farmer information for their own advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.

Any third-party libraries, SDKs, or technical services incorporated into the App may process limited information necessary for their specific technical functionality. We will maintain our practices in accordance with applicable Google Play requirements.

Certain Vihanga functionality may allow authorized users to collect or enter information while offline.

Information collected while offline may remain temporarily stored on the device until it can be synchronized with Vihanga servers.

Users should protect their devices and avoid allowing unauthorized persons to access the App or information stored on the device.

Users are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information

• Providing information only through authorized Vihanga processes

• Protecting their login credentials

• Not sharing their account credentials with unauthorized persons

• Reporting suspected unauthorized access

• Using the App only for authorized purposes
